ALPIO BV General Terms and Conditions for Travel

1. Introduction

ALPIO BV is a travel company based in The Hague, The Netherlands (Chamber of Commerce No. 27305991). By booking through our websites, you agree to these terms and any special conditions that may apply to specific services like transportation. Services booked directly with other providers are not covered by these terms.


2. Booking & Payment

  • Full payment is required at the time of booking, either online or via bank transfer within 7 days of making the reservation.
  • Failure to complete the payment within the specified time may result in cancellation with no refund.
  • For last-minute bookings (within 42 days of departure) or specific services like charter flights, immediate full payment is mandatory.
  • The agreement is finalized when ALPIO BV confirms the booking by email or letter. The main booker is responsible for payment on behalf of all travelers.

3. Pricing

  • Prices are based on current exchange rates and transport costs. ALPIO BV reserves the right to adjust prices if exchange rates fluctuate by more than 3% or if taxes/transport costs change.
  • Prices listed on the website are for specific dates and maximum occupancy, and bookings are on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Services like transportation, ski rentals, and local taxes may incur extra charges, which are not included in the booking price.

4. Payment Methods

  • iDEAL: Available for Dutch bank account holders (ABN AMRO, ING, Rabobank, etc.).
  • Bank Transfer: Payments can be made to Rabobank account NL42 RABO 0140 1628 44. Bookings will be canceled if payment is not made within 7 days.

5. Transportation

  • For bus travel, comfort and cooperation with other passengers are essential. Delays caused by traffic or unforeseen circumstances are not eligible for compensation.
  • For self-transport, ensure you have international insurance and valid vehicle documents. ALPIO BV is not responsible for delays caused by traffic or technical issues.
  • Charter flights: Subject to airline conditions, including baggage policies. ALPIO BV does not control seat assignments.

6. Travel Documents

  • Travel documents will be emailed one week before departure.
  • The main booker will receive documents for all travelers in the group. It is your responsibility to check for any errors and report them immediately.

7. Changes by the Customer

  • Name changes can be made for a fee of €35, depending on airline restrictions.
  • Booking changes (e.g., dates or accommodations) are subject to availability and a fee of €25. Changes made less than 30 days before departure are treated as cancellations.
  • Reductions in the number of travelers will be considered partial cancellations and may affect the price per person.

8. Cancellations by the Customer

  • Cancellations must be made in writing or by email. The following fees apply based on cancellation timing:
    • Up to 90 days before: 30% of the total price
    • 89 to 60 days: 50%
    • 59 to 30 days: 75%
    • Less than 30 days or no-show: 100%
  • Additional costs for flights or other services will be charged if applicable. Consider purchasing cancellation insurance.

9. Changes or Cancellations by ALPIO BV

  • ALPIO BV may adjust prices, descriptions, or services if errors occur. If changes are necessary, we will notify you and offer alternatives or refunds.
  • In cases of force majeure (e.g., natural disasters, strikes), ALPIO BV may cancel the trip and refund amounts paid, but will not cover additional compensation.

10. Insurance

All travelers must have valid travel insurance covering activities like winter sports. ALPIO BV strongly recommends purchasing cancellation insurance and travel assistance.


11. Complaints

  • If issues arise during your trip, notify the relevant service provider or ALPIO BV immediately.
  • Unresolved complaints must be submitted in writing within 28 days after the trip. If not addressed within 2 months, you may refer the matter to the Dutch Travel Disputes Committee.

12. Liability

  • ALPIO BV is responsible for ensuring the services listed in your booking are provided with reasonable care. However, we are not liable for third-party services (e.g., airlines, hotels, transport companies).
  • All activities including lessons & clinic’s during your trip are undertaken at your own risk and responsibility, an appropriate insurance is required and obligated.

13. Final Provisions

  • Dutch law governs the agreement between you and ALPIO BV. Any disputes will be handled by the competent Dutch court.
  • If any part of these terms is deemed invalid, the remaining provisions remain effective.
  • The original Dutch version of these terms takes precedence over translations.
